Scrimbus

Scrimbus is a familiar who was created by a mysterious old wizard, to help with simple chores and the more physical elements of spellcasting: drawing magic circles, lighting candles, preparing the orb for pondering, etc. As a being of pure magic, he can appear in many forms, but he is most comfortable as some kind of blue imp, small enough to hang out on your desk.

As a spirit of creation and inspiration, Scrimbus both feeds on and radiates positive artistic energy. He is at his most...powerful? when discovering or making something new, or helping other people on their own creative endeavours.

In his downtime in the wizard's tower, Scrimbus plays silly little games, or shares his own creative processes, in the hopes of inspiring and teaching others.

Scrimbus has a vast and varied collection of plastic lawn flamingos, or "Mingos." He has at least one or two for every occasion, and they're quite popular with guests to the tower, but when asked about them, Scrimbus is quick to change the subject...

About the Artist

Hello! My name is Spencer, and welcome to my little web experiment.

I'm an artist and animator from California, and this website was created in response to an ever-shifting social media landscape. I wanted a little patch of cyberspace to call my own, away from corporations making arbitrary decisions on who sees what kind of content.

I don't think I'll ever be done tinkering on this website, but I hope you find it charming, and I hope you enjoy looking at my works! I also intend on keeping a blog, where I will not only talk about my creative process, but also share anything going on with my hobbies.
